Hall plan akustika 2026

You will find a wide range of specialist products for musicians – both professionals and amateurs – on the various floors of NCC Ost and in Hall 7A. The individual floor plans and the site plan (available to download) will help you find your way around.

NCC-Ost on Level 0

  • In the entrance area of akustika, NCC OST on Level 0, the German Music Council, together with the Music Information Centre (MIZ), and the SOMM Society of Music Merchants, with their ‘musical classroom’, will be on hand to welcome you with a range of informative activities.
  • Here you will also find a small selection of percussion-related items.
  • The Frankustika Allegro Stage presents for free a concert program with big bands and brass bands every day.

Level 1: Orchestra stage and Instrument of the Year "Accordion"

  • The New Orchestra Stage offers an extensive program of top-class big bands, ensembles, and orchestras. The program on this stage is curated and organized by the North Bavarian Music Association (NBMB).
  • A highlight is the composers' meeting, organized by the NBMB in cooperation with Alexandra Link from the brass band blog. This part of the program brings musicians together with renowned composers from the scene, such as Johan de Meij, Jacob de Haan, Peter Kleine Schaars, José Alberto Pina, Hubert Hoche, Dominik Wagner, Mathias Wehr, Bart Picqueur, Gauthier Dupertuis, and Tim Kleren.
    These artists are available for discussions, composer profiles, and workshops, offering a unique insight into their work. In the composer portraits (Room Hongkong), the composers present their compositions live to an audience.
  • Presentation: Accordion - Instrument of the Year.
    Renowned exhibitors will be showcasing accordions and harmonicas, and in the Hong Kong Hall, the Accordion Stage will host a programme of concerts, workshops and talks centred on the Instrument of the Year 2026.

Level 2 with the acoustic stage (Kyiv room)

  • Piano Manufacturing Exhibition: Here, the major brands in the piano industry and many suppliers showcase their products. 
    On display: upright pianos, grand pianos, accessories, historical keyboard instruments, silent systems, automatic playing systems, organ pipes, celestas, euphoniums and hybrid pianos.
  • Piano Salon: You can  play and try out 12 outstanding concert grand pianos and 7 concert upright pianos - see BDK homepage. The highlight is a double grand piano, the DuoCalve!
  • Annual Conference of the Association of German Piano Builders BDK. This is where Europe’s piano builders meet (in Krakow, Prague and Budapest rooms).
  • The MIBKON congress of SOMM also takes place here (Stockholm room).
  • Open lectures and workshops in the Helsinki room.

Level 3: Woodwind and brass instruments

  • Here you will find a wide range of woodwind and brass instruments:
    • Flutes and transverse flutes (Shanghai Room)
    • Clarinets and oboes (Tokyo Foyer)
    • Brass and woodwind instruments, accessories (Tokyo Room)
  • On the Centre Stage on Level 3 (Seoul Room), you will be treated to a varied musical programme, ranging from big bands and unplugged concerts to brass and orchestral music.

Hall 7A: String and plucked instruments and music publishers

Directly from the entrance hall, you will find yourself in Hall 7A, which will be occupied by 80 exhibitors for the first time at akustika 2026.

  • International exhibition of plucked and stringed instruments, featuring violin makers, harp makers and suppliers of accessories
  • Publishers and suppliers of sheet music and publications
  • Universities, vocational colleges, associations and societies will showcase training and further education opportunities
  • Various soloists will perform on the ‘nmz Soloist Stage’. There will also be lectures and panel discussions on current topics featuring engaging speakers, presented by nmz (Neue Musikzeitung).
