Dynamic traffic guidance system
Every year, events take place around Nuremberg's Dutzendteich on over 300 days at the nearby Nuremberg Exhibition Centre, ARENA and stadium. In 2004, the multi-award-winning "Dynamic Traffic Guidance System and Parking Guidance System Exhibition Centre/Stadium/ARENA" was put into operation. The current traffic load on the access roads is determined on an ongoing basis and traffic is diverted to free traffic routes and parking spaces - 18,000 parking spaces are recorded in the system. Thanks to this intelligent traffic routing, traffic jams and accidents have been significantly reduced.
